HyperMed, Inc., the leader in hyperspectral medical imaging, today
announced the addition of Douglas Lind, MD and Bruce Ryan, PhD
to the HyperMed Board of Directors, joining founders Jenny Freeman,
M.D. and Richard Lifsitz and independent directors Alex Denner,
PhD and Michael Goldblatt, PhD, JD. David Wetherell, Founder and
Managing Partner at Greenwich Biotech Partners will serve as a
board observer.
HyperMed’s OxyVu product provides clinicians with the first
FDA-cleared medical hyperspectral system to non-invasively and
quantitatively assess tissue oxygenation in patients with diabetes
and peripheral vascular disease.
Douglas D. Lind, M.D. is Managing Partner at Greenwich Biotech
Partners, a Greenwich, CT based private equity fund focused on
financing healthcare innovation. He is a former practicing physician
and has more than 20 years experience in a variety of life science
related professions, including serving as senior biotechnology
equity research analyst at Morgan Stanley.
Bruce Ryan, PhD has more than 30 years senior management experience
in sales and marketing positions with International Business Machines
and Digital Equipment Corporation. Dr. Ryan is also a co-founder
of FolderWave, one of the first Web-based application companies
providing complete, complex and high-volume processes over the
Internet as a service.

HyperMed’s flagship diagnostic device, OxyVu, received
U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance in November,
2006. OxyVu provides clinicians to non-invasively and quantitatively
assess tissue oxygenation in patients with diabetes and peripheral
arterial disease.
HyperMed believes that the better assessment of tissue oxygenation
with OxyVu will lead to improved health outcomes for people suffering
from these diseases, significantly reducing amputations among
these populations.
Medical professionals that that will use HyperMed’s OxyVu
to benefit their patients include vascular surgeons, foot and
ankle surgeons, endocrinologists, orthopedists and wound healing
professionals.
